Inspirational young people take part in new youth film project
Brent Housing Management have been conducting a series of workshops with young people from Brent to gather their involvement and input into the Youth Stories of Brent film project.
We carried out workshops with Brent Youth Parliament and Oakington Manor Primary School in Wembley this week. The aim of these workshops was to engage young people in Brent and find out what they love about the borough, where they hang out, who their role models are and identify individual positive stories which will be included in the final Youth Stories of Brent film which launches in summer 2018.
The Youth Stories of Brent film project involves training a group of young people (13-19 years old) in how to make (edit, interview, produce, direct) and launch a short film about positive youth stories from Brent. Once completing this project, the young people will gain an Arts Award Level 2 (Bronze or Silver) accreditation.
This project and the final documentary film we produce, aims to show the positive stories of young people in Brent; showcase young people who have transformed their lives and celebrate positive role models for young people.
